Engineers Yukon is pleased to host a noon-hour presentation by Katie Munroe, P.Eng. of the Procurement Support Centre, Government of Yukon on the new Qualified Source Lists currently being developed for use by several YG departments. Qualified Source Lists represent an important new method of project deliver for YG so any members who work with or for YG are encouraged to attend.

The event will be held online on June 18th, 2020 at 12:00-13:00 and there will be opportunity to ask questions.

The event is free of charge, however you must register using the attached registration form by 4:00pm on June 16th. All registered members will receive a link via email to the online presentation portal.

Since April 1, 2019 with the introduction of Yukon Government’s new procurement policy, usage of Qualified Source Lists (QSL) has increased across departments. While not a new invention, they are a newer tool to many local businesses and to YG. If you are interested in learning more about what a QSL is, how to get on these lists, and how they work after their creation – this session is for you! More recently Property Management Division within HPW replaced their SOA for Consultant Services with a Qualified Source List. That list has now been finalized, and some information will also be shared in terms of how it will now be utilized.

Katie Munroe has been acting Director of the Procurement Support Centre since May, 2019. She came into that role after six years as a project manager at Community Services. Working with YG departments to use procurement tools to best support their programming needs, while maintaining public sector best practices in procurement, has been far more interesting then she could have anticipated. Katie is a Professional Engineer and a Canada Lands Surveyor.

Engineers Yukon would like to thank Katie and the YG Procurement Support Centre for making this event possible.
