The Association of Professional Engineers of Yukon (Engineers Yukon) was formed under the Engineering Profession Act in 1955, as a Regulatory Body mandated by Yukon Legislation, to regulate and govern the engineering profession in the Yukon.
This is achieved by setting and maintaining high academic, experience and professional practice standards for all members.
Only individuals licensed by Engineers Yukon are permitted by law to undertake and assume responsibility for engineering projects in Yukon.
In addition, all companies practicing engineering require a Permit to Practice. This includes partnerships, corporations, and other such entities, which practice the profession of engineering. The Engineering Professions Act does not differentiate between size of an organization or whether the organization is practicing for internal or external reasons.
